Stephen Dey Signature Portraits has been Charlotte's premier portrait studio for 33 years. Stephen Dey specializes in Family Portraits and High School Senior Portraits. Creating heirloom memories for families and seniors is our passion. Our art is displayed in the form of Masterpiece Wall Portraits. Our Masterpiece Art is best displayed on Artist Wraps, Watercolor Art, Masterpiece Canvas, Metal and Gallery Portraits.
The hallmark of Stephen Dey Signature Portraits is what we call organics. Organic Family and High School Senior photography is a flowing approach that utilizes the environment, mood, lighting and composition. Most importantly, it embraces the concept that by using this style we distinctively capture the essence of one's family or individual.
Stephen Dey created this genre over 30 years ago and has stayed true to its essence which has become the marker of his Masterpiece Portraits. His portraits hang in premier homes in Charlotte, Matthews, Pineville, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Lake Norman and Lake Wylie locally. Stephen has clients all over the country but he likes to stay around North and South Carolina.
Masterpiece Portraits are created year round, Fall portraits with the leaves changing, Winter portraits in the snow, spring portraits with all the color, summer beach portraits and Lake portraits. A Masterpiece Portrait can also be produced around Christmas or the holidays when families gather to share family traditions and create memories.
We custom design each Family and High School Senior Portrait starting with a design consultation and ending with the final installation of your Masterpiece Portrait in your home. Our custom designed albums are extremely popular with High School Seniors. Stephen's organic style keeps the session moving and the family or senior having fun. He often will produce many more images than expected during a session.
He gets to know families before an actual photoshoot takes place. He discovers family values, traits, behaviors, as well as personality and infuses those qualities into his portraiture work.
